A Full Day Of Fun In The Sun

We took the day off from all of our crazy projects at home, and set off to enjoy the beautiful day. We visited the zoo with our very good friends, Tabitha and Danielle. No sunny day would be complete without going out for ice cream, so we went to ColdStone before heading home.

It was so warm outside that the tigers felt like they were
sun bathing in the wild!
Rebecca and Danielle
Time to stop for a snack... animal crackers! ha ha
It was so warm that these cuties didn't want to get out of bed!
Just like watching giant kittens playing together.
(the tigers, not the kids)
I got tons of amazing shot of these two playing in the
afternoon sun with the ball and each other.  They put on
a great show for us.  You can tell they are becoming so much
more comfortable in their new home here in Virginia.  The
girls watched them play for quite some time.
A quiet sunny day can get just about all of the animals
at the zoo to strut their stuff.  This fella posed for me.
After each click of the camera, I would get a 45 degree turn
of the head so I could get another shot.  What a character!
After such a long walk around the zoo, the girls were ready
to enjoy their strollers and another snack.
Luckily the girls were willing to get out of the strollers and
push them up the big hill themselves!
A quiet moment in a very ambitious game of tag between
toddlers.  They ran off the remaining steam they had from
their trip to the zoo.
The last animal of the day... the turtle.
Becca wants to feed it a stick, and Danielle
wants to ride it.  They ended up doing both.
We headed home with the promise of ice cream in our path.  Danielle fell asleep right before we made it to ColdStone, but she was able to pull herself out of her peaceful slumber for some strawberry ice cream.  Becca got her blue cotton candy flavor that she likes so much.  She was the first to finish.
